Mindwoods is a small house with one job: help kids learn the skills school forgets to teach.
Calming down. Focusing. Sharing. Trying again. Doing more on their own.
We turn those skills into simple, screen-free printable activities you do together, for kids 4 to 12.
No clinical worksheets. No parenting lectures. Just real activities from people who have been on the kitchen floor at 3am too.
How we build everything
The Skill-First Method
Every Mindwoods activity is built the same way: teach the skill first, on the calm days, not in the middle of the meltdown.
Model it first
One recurring cast of kids and animal helpers does each skill first, so your child copies a friend instead of being lectured.
Practice it together
Every activity ships a plain-English script for the grown-up, so your child practices with a calm adult, not alone with a worksheet.
Repeat until it sticks
The same gentle rhythm repeats across the whole range, the way any real skill is built.

From my classroom to our kitchen table
Hi, I'm Hannah, a lifelong elementary-school teacher and mom of two, Lily and Max.
When my own kids were struggling, the parenting books I was handed just didn't work. So I did what I'd done in my classroom for years: I built my own. I call it the Skill-First Method.
Over a career of teaching, I'd picked up the little skill-building habits that actually help a child calm down, focus, and try again. I used them at home with Lily and Max, one calm-day step at a time. (Our friendly workbook cast is inspired by them.)
It worked, and then it spread. First to my friends, then to their families, from my classroom to their kitchen tables. Now I'm bringing it to families everywhere.
I spent my career teaching other people's children these skills. Then I taught my own. Now I want every family to have them.
